Alex C. Riley
Alex Riley is a trial attorney whose state and federal litigation practice has included energy law, utilities, products liability defense, asbestos litigation, mass torts litigation, premises liability, professional negligence, insurance defense, and other complex business litigation. His clients have included municipalities, counties, energy companies, medical providers, small and large businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and leading manufacturers of consumer and commercial products, including major automakers and suppliers. Alex graduated summa cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Law and he is licensed to practice law in Missouri, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, and the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.
The Springfield, Missouri native has trial experience defending auto manufacturers, medical providers, and other businesses against claims of personal injury, wrongful death, and negligence in high-stakes multimillion- dollar lawsuits. Alex also has appellate court experience and has successfully defended trial verdicts and other court rulings favorable to his clients numerous times in the courts of appeals.
Prior to entering law school, Alex gained valuable career experience working as a paralegal for a boutique litigation firm in Springfield, MO. After earning his Juris Doctor, he worked as an attorney at two other Springfield law firms before joining the Healy Law Offices in 2022.
Alex lives in Springfield with his wife Ellen and their three young children. In addition to his role at the firm, Alex serves his community in the Missouri Capitol as the State Representative of the 134th District. He is also an active member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, and The Network – The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Organization.
