Eric Dearmont
Eric Dearmont joins Healy Law Offices with nearly two decades of experience in the energy and litigation sectors. His legal career began in government service at the Missouri Public Service Commission where he primarily represented the Commission’s Staff in contested rate and regulatory proceedings. Eric then transitioned to private practice where he defended large national and multi-national companies in various state and federal matters. Eric later joined a large multi-state Investor-Owned Utility, where he worked for 14 years in various in-house legal and business roles across the electric and natural gas transmission and distribution sectors, most recently serving as Director and Assistant General Counsel. He has substantial experience with infrastructure development and citing initiatives and with ratemaking in both vertically integrated and restructured states.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Systems from Truman State University and graduated from law school at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is licensed to practice law in both Missouri and Illinois. Eric is a past president of the Midwest Chapter of the Energy Bar Association and later served on the organization’s national Board of Directors. He currently lives in St. Louis with his wife and son.
